Akashvani Churu 100.7 FM

📖 About

Akashvani Churu 100.7 FM is a prominent local public radio station operated by Akashvani (All India Radio) under Prasar Bharati, India's national public broadcaster. Formally inaugurated on November 12, 1997, the station was established to provide public radio coverage to the arid Shekhawati region in northern Rajasthan. Transmitting on 100.7 MHz FM, Akashvani Churu serves as a vital bridge for communication, education, and regional news between government public service initiatives and the diverse local populations across Churu district and neighboring areas. The station's programming is carefully structured into distinct broadcast sessions throughout the day, offering a rich variety of content in Hindi and Rajasthani (including regional Shekhawati dialects). A key pillar of its grid consists of regional news bulletins, weather forecasts, developmental discussions, and specialized agricultural programming designed to assist local farmers and rural communities. In addition to public welfare and educational content, Akashvani Churu presents classic Hindi film songs, devotional music, and authentic Rajasthani folk music performances that preserve and highlight the heritage, poetry, and folklore of the region. As part of Prasar Bharati's ongoing digital modernization initiatives, Akashvani Churu extends its reach beyond terrestrial radio transmission on 100.7 FM. The station's live audio stream is accessible worldwide via Prasar Bharati's WAVES platform and mobile applications. This multi-platform availability allows local residents as well as members of the global Shekhawati diaspora to stay connected to regional culture, timely local announcements, and public service broadcasts from anywhere around the globe.
