📖 About

VOV1 - Thời sự is the principal news, politics, and current affairs radio channel operated by the Voice of Vietnam (VOV), the national public broadcaster of Vietnam. Established alongside the network's foundational roots dating back to September 7, 1945, VOV1 serves as the authoritative voice for national news, government policies, socio-economic developments, and political updates. The station broadcasts comprehensive reports, analytical talk shows, and live coverage of major national events, including parliamentary sessions and state conferences, making it a critical source of verified public information for citizens across the country. The programming lineup is structured to cover a wide spectrum of topical issues, ranging from domestic governance, economic policy, and international relations to cultural and societal discussions. Through deep-dive talk programs, live reporter roundtables, and frequent hourly news bulletins, VOV1 caters to a diverse audience of policy-makers, researchers, working professionals, and everyday citizens seeking credible, in-depth journalism. Unlike music-heavy channels, its focus remains firmly anchored in discourse, news updates, and political analysis, positioning it as the premier destination for serious news consumption in Vietnam. Headquartered at the historic broadcasting center on 58 Quán Sứ Street in Hanoi, VOV1 broadcasts on the traditional 675 AM frequency alongside extensive digital coverage. In alignment with modern media trends, the station has expanded its reach onto multiple digital platforms, including official web streaming, dedicated mobile applications like VOV Live, and active social media channels (such as YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok), ensuring its essential news coverage is accessible to both domestic listeners and the global Vietnamese diaspora.
