📖 About

VOH AM 610 is a foundational news and talk radio channel operated by the Voice of Ho Chi Minh City (VOH), serving as a vital public service broadcaster for Southern Vietnam. Tracing its roots back to the historic Liberation Radio established on February 2, 1962, the station has undergone critical historical transformations—transitioning through Liberation Saigon Radio before officially taking on its current identity under the Voice of Ho Chi Minh City's People. Owned and managed under the administrative guidance of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the station has spent decades chronicling national development, regional governance, and community milestones. The programming format of VOH AM 610 is heavily dedicated to comprehensive news, current affairs, social discussions, economic updates, and specialized agricultural and community-oriented programs. Designed to reach a wide demographic including rural workers, urban residents, and policymakers alike, the station broadcasts extensive daily reports, expert panel discussions, and educational series tailored to public welfare. Notable segments emphasize grassroots developments, labor market updates, public health guidance, and market insights for agricultural sectors across Southern Vietnam. Operating from its headquarters at 3 Nguyễn Đình Chiểu Street in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, VOH AM 610 utilizes its high-power AM frequency alongside digital streaming channels to ensure widespread coverage. As a trusted historical pillar of Vietnamese state media, it continues to deliver credible journalism, civic engagement programming, and cultural preservation efforts to listeners both locally and across the global digital diaspora.
