Symphony 924

📖 About

Symphony 924 is an English-language classical music radio station owned by Mediacorp in Singapore. Launched on 18 July 1969 as Radio Television Singapore's "FM Stereo Service," it is the only 24-hour on-air radio station in Southeast Asia devoted to classical music and the arts [citation:1]. The station broadcasts the world's best orchestras and rising stars, alongside a rich variety of musical theatre, crossover, and film music [citation:14]. In 1990, with the launch of Class 95, the station shifted entirely to classical music and English-language presentation [citation:2][citation:9]. It began collaborating with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra in January 1995 [citation:9] and moved to 24/7 broadcasts on 1 January 2008 [citation:2][citation:18]. Its music director and breakfast show host, Andrew Lim, has been with the station since 1990 and won Most Popular Radio Personality at the Singapore Radio Awards in 2011 [citation:4].
