📖 About
CNA938 is Singapore's dedicated English-language news and information radio station, owned by Mediacorp. Launched on 2 October 1998 as NewsRadio 938, it was rebranded as CNA938 on 3 June 2019 to serve as the radio extension of Mediacorp's television channel CNA, promoting the network as a multi-platform brand [citation:1][citation:5]. The station broadcasts a news/talk format focused on breaking news, current affairs, business and financial news, and lifestyle topics including health, technology, and travel [citation:6][citation:16]. In March 2025, the station underwent a significant programming revamp to offer more "hyper-local" content tailored for Singapore listeners, with increased focus on business news, personal finance, and health and wellness [citation:3][citation:4][citation:14]. CNA938 is among Singapore's top 10 radio stations, with its audience reach increasing by 18 per cent and listening time by 23 per cent according to the Nielsen Radio Survey 2024 [citation:4][citation:14].
