📖 About

Sports & Health Channel FM 94 is a dedicated sports and health radio channel operated by the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (Radio Pakistan) in Islamabad. Launched on 20 October 2022, it was established by converting the former FM-94 Dhanak Channel into Pakistan's first full-fledged sports radio station [citation:5][citation:9]. The channel broadcasts live ball-by-ball commentary of cricket matches, including the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, along with expert analysis, sports discussions, and health-related programming [citation:2][citation:8]. Its launch was initiated by then Director General Radio Pakistan, Muhammad Tahir Hassan, to meet the longstanding demand of listeners for a dedicated sports platform [citation:3][citation:5]. The station broadcasts from Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore, and also provides video podcasts on Facebook and YouTube under the handle 'Sports FM-94' [citation:8][citation:9].
