📖 About

FM 101 Lahore is the flagship music and entertainment channel of Radio Pakistan, operated by the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) from its Broadcasting House on Empress Road in Lahore. Launched simultaneously in Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore on 1 October 1998, it was PBC's pioneering FM venture designed to provide a platform for youth, improve communication skills, and generate revenue [citation:6][citation:10]. The station broadcasts a predominantly pop music format, with dedicated slots for Western music, and is interspersed with information on driving tips, horoscopes, sports, weather, culture, health, women's and kids' issues, fashion, and business hints [citation:6][citation:16]. FM 101 Lahore features youthful presenters, a phone-in facility for listener interaction via SMS, email, and letters, and invites prominent personalities to live shows. It also produces current affairs programming as required [citation:6]. The channel's transmission is available on FM, satellite (AsiaSat 3S), and online via web streaming [citation:17].
