📖 About

Power Radio FM 99, commonly known as Power99 FM, is a commercial radio station based in Islamabad, Pakistan, operated by The Communicators (Pvt.) Ltd. Launched in 2003, it was one of the first private FM stations to hit the airwaves following the liberalization of Pakistan's broadcasting sector [citation:6][citation:9]. Broadcasting on 99.0 FM, the station has built a reputation for blending popular music with serious talk shows that highlight social and civic issues, political developments, and current affairs [citation:6]. Its programming includes educational and children's content, community-focused programs, Pakistani music, cultural features, and interactive talk shows [citation:18]. Power99 also operates broadcasting facilities in Abbottabad and Vehari [citation:13]. The station is owned primarily by the Ahmed family, with Najib Ahmed as the founder and CEO, and his wife Fakhira Najib serving as Managing Director [citation:6][citation:11].
