Paradise FM Vanuatu

📖 About

Paradise FM Vanuatu is a popular commercial, youth-oriented radio station based in Port Vila, the capital city of Vanuatu. Operated as a secondary service by the state-owned national broadcaster, the Vanuatu Broadcasting and Television Corporation (VBTC), the station originally debuted under the name Nambawan FM 98 before undergoing a full strategic rebranding in 2009 to become Paradise 98FM. It was developed to complement VBTC's flagship news network, Radio Vanuatu, by providing a modern, music-intensive entertainment channel dedicated to younger demographics, urban communities, and contemporary music fans across the island nation. The station's programming format centers on contemporary hits, Pacific island reggae, urban pop, hip-hop, and local music productions from Vanuatu and the broader Oceania region. Airing in Bislama, English, and French—the three official languages of Vanuatu—Paradise FM balances energetic DJ music blocks with interactive talk shows, youth culture discussions, entertainment news, and event updates. Its upbeat, lifestyle-centric broadcasts make it one of the most listened-to urban stations in Port Vila and surrounding regions. Broadcasting from the VBTC headquarters complex in Port Vila, Paradise FM transmits terrestrially on 98.0 MHz FM across the Shefa province. In addition to its local FM coverage, Paradise FM reaches national listeners across the archipelago and international audiences through VBTC's official online radio streaming portal, extending its music and youth programming well beyond the physical reach of its FM transmitters.
