Laef FM Vanuatu

📖 About

Laef FM Vanuatu is a non-denominational Christian radio ministry operated by United Christian Broadcasters (UCB) Vanuatu. Established to serve as a positive and trusted voice in the nation, the station works in close partnership with the Vanuatu Christian Council and UCB Asia Pacific. Laef FM was launched with a mission to bring spiritual encouragement, moral guidance, and life-affirming media to people across the islands, with a particular focus on helping young people make wholesome choices grounded in biblical values. The station features a broadcast mix that combines contemporary Christian pop, gospel, worship tracks, and Pacific island music with daily spiritual broadcasts. Central to its daily schedule is the broadcasting and distribution of 'The Word for Today', a globally recognized devotional authored by Bob and Debby Gass. Programming is presented in both Bislama and English, alongside localized language initiatives for island communities such as Ambrym. Beyond music and teaching, Laef FM acts as an essential community service, delivering family education, health awareness, and youth-oriented discussion shows. Headquartered in Port Vila at the Vanuatu Christian Council complex, Laef FM operates a growing network of FM repeaters broadcasting on the unified 102.7 FM frequency across major centers including Port Vila, Luganville, Ambrym, Hog Harbour, Lenakel, and Samaria. In addition to terrestrial coverage, the ministry maintains global online streams via its web portal and dedicated mobile apps for iOS and Android, allowing ni-Vanuatu communities at home and abroad to stay connected to faith-based radio.
