📖 About

FM 101 Karachi is a flagship music and entertainment radio station operated by the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC), broadcasting from its New Broadcasting House in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi. Launched simultaneously with stations in Islamabad and Lahore on 1 October 1998, it was part of PBC's pioneering FM venture designed to provide a platform for youth and improve communication skills [citation:1][citation:12]. The station broadcasts a predominantly pop music format, with dedicated slots for Western music and information on driving tips, horoscopes, sports, weather, culture, health, and business [citation:1][citation:11]. It actively engages listeners through live shows, phone-ins, and SMS interaction with prominent personalities from various fields [citation:1][citation:16].
