WDBFradio

📖 About

WDBFradio (also operating online under the domain WDBF.fm) is an independent community internet radio station based in Delray Beach, Florida. The station traces its historical inspiration to the legacy of WDBF-AM 1420, a well-remembered terrestrial Big Band radio station that served Delray Beach and Palm Beach County under the ownership of legendary bandleader Vic Knight. Embracing digital broadcasting technologies, WDBFradio LLC re-established the historic call letters as a 24/7 online streaming network, transitioning from legacy local AM airwaves to a global internet audience. The station's programming is structured around a multi-faceted lineup of news, sports, entertainment talk, and specialty music shows. Its daily broadcast schedule is anchored by popular talk programs such as 'Sid and Friends in the Morning' (airing weekdays from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM EST and replaying in afternoons). Weekends and specialty blocks showcase diverse offerings including 'Sports Talk with T', 'Buck$ on the Book$helf' covering business and literature, 'Movie Talks & Chill', and the long-running 'Capt. Hook's Music Hour' featuring extended Saturday night retro music sessions. As a digital-first community platform, WDBFradio connects South Florida residents and international listeners through interactive call-in options and live studio streams. Operating directly from Delray Beach, WDBFradio LLC remains dedicated to giving voice to local creators, commentators, and podcasters while preserving the spirit of independent civic broadcasting.
