📖 About

WCHI Biggs Radio Chicago is a pioneering independent digital radio network and multi-platform broadcasting station streaming worldwide 24 hours a day. Founded and programmed by acclaimed media executive and radio personality Dinahlynn Biggs—noted as the first Black woman to own a licensed terrestrial station in Indiana—the network was established to break away from traditional algorithmic gatekeeping and provide a dedicated, artist-first launchpad for independent recording artists. Operating out of Chicago, Illinois, the station bridges traditional community values with digital-first reach, offering an empowering media platform that has successfully launched thousands of independent music acts globally. The station’s diverse, culture-forward programming block features a rich mix of R&B, soul, hip-hop, gospel, and Southern soul music, interspersed with engaging talk shows, cultural podcasts, and in-depth artist interviews. Notable specialty programs and broadcasts featured on the network include 'The World Famous Dinahlynn Biggs Show', 'Gospel Nation', Southern Soul segments, and specialized DJ mix shows curated by prominent Midwest tastemakers and regional media personalities. Through its commitment to education, community outreach, and grassroots support—including regular disaster relief partnerships and youth backpack giveaways—Biggs Radio functions as both an entertainment hub and a vital community advocate. Distributed globally via digital internet streams, mobile apps, and international syndication partnerships (including Biggs Radio Germany), the network operates debt-free across multiple multi-market properties.
