📖 About

Sunny 106.3 (KKLI) is a commercial adult contemporary radio station licensed to Widefield, Colorado, and serving the vibrant Colorado Springs–Pueblo metropolitan area. Owned and operated by iHeartMedia, the station delivers a popular musical blend featuring familiar soft pop, rock, and mainstream hits spanning from the 1980s to the present day. Its accessible, work-friendly format has made it a reliable daily companion for listeners across the Pikes Peak region. The station originally signed on the air in 1987 under the call sign KKQX, broadcasting a soft adult contemporary format. It transitioned to the KKLI call letters in 1988 and spent its first two-and-a-half decades on the air utilizing various forms of the 'K-Lite' moniker. Following corporate ownership transitions through Capstar Broadcasting, AMFM Inc., and Clear Channel Communications (which rebranded as iHeartMedia in 2014), the station officially updated its branding on November 6, 2014, relaunching dynamically as 'Sunny 106.3'. Programming on Sunny 106.3 features engaging local content alongside popular nationally syndicated programs from Premiere Networks, including Valentine in the Morning during weekday AM drive time and Delilah during the evenings. True to its modern adult contemporary format, the station is also widely celebrated for its seasonal shift to continuous all-Christmas music throughout November and December. Listeners can tune in via traditional FM radio, HD radio subchannels, the iHeartRadio digital network, and mobile apps.
