Star America Radio

📖 About

Star America Radio is an internet radio station based in Florida, founded by professional singer, entrepreneur, and veteran radio personality Daniel Melvin. Originating from Detroit, Melvin established a strong presence in Florida radio during the heyday of terrestrial smooth jazz with Clear Channel Radio, where listeners affectionately dubbed him 'The Velvet Teddy Bear' and 'The Barry White of Naples'. Transitioning into digital broadcasting, he launched Star America Radio under his corporate umbrella to bring soul-soothing, uplifting, and inspiring music to a worldwide audience 24/7. The station's primary signature format is smooth jazz, anchored by its flagship concept 'Smooth Jazz in Paradise'. Its daily rotation weaves smooth instrumental jazz, contemporary R&B, and fusion with dedicated inspirational programming, including worship and praise music, global gospel selections, and motivational segments. Listeners can enjoy smooth tracks from acclaimed instrumentalists and vocalists such as Spyro Gyra, Yellowjackets, Walter Beasley, Sade, Pieces of a Dream, and Peter White. Beyond music, Star America Radio places strong emphasis on community engagement, spiritual growth, and personal encouragement. Key programming features include 'Barbara Melvin's Motivational Moments' hosted by Barbara Melvin, as well as 'Cultural Praise' hosted by Brother Max and Klassy Keva, which delivers family-friendly gospel music from around the globe. The station operates digitally, streaming worldwide through its official portal and various online aggregator platforms.
