Smooth Jazz V98.7

📖 About

Smooth Jazz V98.7 is a beloved digital radio station deeply rooted in the rich musical culture of Detroit, Michigan. The station's heritage traces back to Detroit's iconic terrestrial frequency V98.7 (WVMV on 98.7 FM), which originally introduced dedicated smooth jazz broadcasting to the Motor City starting in 1995. Listeners are treated to a continuous rotation of legendary jazz saxophonists, guitarists, and classic soul tracks designed to offer a relaxing, ambient audio experience around the clock. By capturing the relaxed aesthetic of traditional easy-listening radio while leveraging modern internet streaming, Smooth Jazz V98.7 maintains a strong emotional connection with longtime fans from the original FM era as well as new generations of jazz enthusiasts across Michigan, Windsor (Canada), and beyond. Operating as an independent digital broadcaster, Smooth Jazz V98.7 is widely accessible through various online streaming portals, mobile directories, and web players.
