Seattle Wave Radio ~ The Lounge

📖 About

Seattle Wave Radio ~ The Lounge is a specialized digital audio stream operating as a key genre channel within the Seattle Wave Radio network, based out of Seattle, Washington. Founded and operated by co-owners Mark and Linda alongside a passionate team of local audio enthusiasts, the network was launched to champion emerging independent artists, singer-songwriters, and musicians based in Seattle and across the Pacific Northwest. Designed to offer a relaxed alternative to commercial FM broadcasting, The Lounge provides an ambient, mellow environment focused on chillout sounds, smooth instrumentals, acoustic cuts, and easy-listening melodies. Programming on The Lounge delivers a continuous 24/7 curated mix of chill-out lounge tracks, quiet storm R&B, smooth jazz, and soft indie acoustic compositions. The station proudly dedicates significant airtime to local Pacific Northwest talent, mixing regional independent releases with ambient soundscapes and occasional network features or podcasts. The network also partners with organizations like Music Aid Northwest, Songwriters in Seattle, and regional studios to host showcase events like the annual Jammin' Challenge, using digital streaming to bring Northwest indie sounds to global listeners. As part of the multi-channel Seattle Wave Radio brand (which also includes channels for Rock, Acoustic, and Lifestyle Talk), The Lounge reaches an international digital audience. It broadcasts without standard commercial breaks, focusing instead on continuous atmosphere and music discovery. Listeners can tune in globally through the main Seattle Wave Radio web portal, dedicated web players, and online radio aggregators across desktop and mobile devices.
