Saint FM Community Radio

📖 About

Saint FM Community Radio is a vital community radio station serving the isolated island of Saint Helena in the South Atlantic Ocean. Operating under the affectionate and fitting slogan 'The Heartbeat of St Helena', the station was officially launched on March 10, 2013, following the restructuring of the island's independent broadcasting landscape. It rose to become an indispensable lifeline for local residents, providing a trusted platform for public announcements, civic discussions, and cultural engagement that binds the remote community together. The station's diverse programming format is tailored to the unique daily life of Saint Helenians, featuring a rich blend of local news updates, community talk shows, cultural programs, and varied music blocks that include popular hits, classic tunes, and dedicated gospel segments. By addressing local issues, broadcasting community events, and celebrating island traditions, Saint FM fosters a deep sense of connection and identity. Its programming serves both the on-island population and the extensive diaspora living abroad who rely on the station to stay in touch with home. Broadcasting terrestrially on the 93.1 FM frequency from its historic headquarters at the Association Hall on Main Street in Jamestown, Saint Helena, the station also extends its reach globally via digital internet streaming. Supported by an official website, mobile applications on the Google Play Store, and an active social media presence on Instagram and Twitter/X, Saint FM Community Radio successfully bridges its remote island origins with a worldwide audience.
