Real Texas Radio is an independent internet-based radio station dedicated to the Texas music scene and its singers and songwriters. Launched in 2015, the station was created with a simple goal: to play great Texas music and spotlight artists from across the Lone Star State and the wider Red Dirt music scene. Real Texas Radio is more than a traditional country station, featuring a broad mix of Texas Country, Texas Blues, Americana, Western, Soul, Rock and other roots-oriented music. The station also features artist interviews, live broadcasts, acoustic performances, music stories and programming connected to the Texas music community. Real Texas Radio originally began its live broadcasts at LSA Burger Co. in Denton, Texas, where it hosted Texas artists and special guests. Following the COVID-19 period, the station established its current live-broadcast presence in Mineral Wells, Texas, including broadcasts from Rickhouse Brewing inside the historic Crazy Water Hotel. Real Texas Radio has been recognized by the Texas Country Music Association and Texas Regional Radio Music Awards, including Internet Radio Station of the Year honors. The station provides online radio listeners with a strong connection to Texas Country, Red Dirt, Americana, blues, rock, soul and independent Texas artists.
