Real Southern Gospel Radio

📖 About

Real Southern Gospel Radio is a dedicated 24/7 internet radio station and mobile streaming network headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. Founded by veteran radio personality, music promoter, producer, and gospel musician Les Butler—a long-time industry leader with over four decades in gospel radio and former publisher of Singing News Magazine—the station was established to preserve, celebrate, and promote authentic traditional gospel music. Built on a foundation of faith-based ministry and high-quality audio streaming via platforms like Live365, the network has grown into one of the premier digital outlets for traditional Christian music enthusiasts nationwide. The station's programming offers a rich blend of vintage recordings, classic hits, and fresh releases from modern traditional artists, spanning classic Southern Gospel, Bluegrass Gospel, and Country Gospel formats. Airwaves feature music from iconic groups such as The Cathedrals, The Statesmen, The Collingsworth Family, The Perrys, and the Gaither Vocal Band alongside emerging independent artists. Interspersed between musical selections are award-winning DJ-hosted shows, archival interviews, rare historical recordings, and daily inspirational segments known as 'Real Ministry Moments' hosted by respected ministers and personalities like Jim Chandler. Targeted primarily at devout listeners, fans of heritage quartet music, and lovers of traditional acoustic and country gospel across the United States and abroad, Real Southern Gospel Radio functions as both a broadcast service and a community ministry. Beyond streaming, the station is directly integrated with Butler Music Group and Family Music Group, supporting live concert bookings, artist management, and radio promotions across the country gospel and bluegrass genres.
