Radio Rythme Bleu

📖 About

Radio Rythme Bleu (RRB) is a prominent private general-interest commercial radio station based in Nouméa, New Caledonia, broadcasting widely across the territory since its official launch on March 3, 1985. Originally emerging from a predecessor initiative known as Radio Riposte Bis in the early 1980s, the station has established a strong presence in the regional media landscape. Managed under the 'Culture et Loisirs' association, RRB has historically maintained an editorial line closely aligned with loyalist and anti-independence political movements in New Caledonia, serving as a prominent voice for the loyalist community. The station's diverse programming blends comprehensive local and national news bulletins, talk shows, entertainment segments, interactive games, and a wide variety of popular music formats. Targeting a broad audience across the territory, RRB also features overnight syndication relays from major French networks such as Europe 1 to maintain continuous broadcasting around the clock. Its daily broadcasts emphasize local engagement, cultural events, and current affairs, making it one of the most influential and widely listened-to private radio broadcasters in the archipelago. Headquartered at 4 rue de Sébastopol in downtown Nouméa, Radio Rythme Bleu utilizes an extensive FM transmission network to cover multiple provinces in New Caledonia alongside a stable digital online streaming presence. Guided by leadership figures such as General Director Élizabeth Nouar, the station continues to play a vital role in local media discourse, combining traditional broadcast delivery with contemporary digital accessibility.
