Radio Poder 1030

📖 About

Radio Poder 1030 (historically associated with broadcast call sign WWGB) is a prominent Spanish-language Christian radio media brand serving the Hispanic community across Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia. Originally licensed to Indian Head, Maryland, the terrestrial station first hit the airwaves in June 1986 under the call letters WBZE before adopting call signs such as WNTL and eventually WWGB in the late 1990s. Good Body Media, LLC acquired the station in 2002, transforming it into a trusted broadcasting beacon focused on uplifting spiritual programming, Christian gospel music, educational lectures, and family enrichment content tailored for Spanish-speaking listeners. In July 2026, the physical 1030 AM terrestrial transmission ceased operations, resulting in the surrender of its FCC AM license. However, Radio Poder preserved its legacy and active community reach by pivoting exclusively to a robust digital presence. Operating under the modern digital streaming umbrella of ContrerArts Media LLC / Radio Poder Media, the station delivers round-the-clock streaming access, carrying popular faith-focused tracks, worship music, family talk broadcasts, and community news for its regional and international online audience. Programming on Radio Poder 1030 features contemporary Spanish Christian music, inspirational worship hits by acclaimed artists such as Jesús Adrián Romero, Evan Craft, and TobyMac, alongside specialized shows like 'Encuentros Familiares', 'Fuego Fresco Del Espíritu Santo', and 'Un Mensaje A La Conciencia'. Beyond music, the station actively serves as an informational platform providing educational updates, news segments, and localized resources for the greater DMV Hispanic community.
