📖 About

Radio Outlaw Bakersfield is an independent online radio station based out of Bakersfield, California, operating as a digital media platform dedicated to promoting independent musical talent. Established as 'Bakersfield's Independent Artists Station,' the broadcast serves as a central promotional hub and streaming network for local musicians, bands, and song creators originating from Kern County and surrounding Central Valley regions, including Kernville and Ridgecrest. The project was launched with the primary mission of giving unassigned independent artists consistent 24/7 radio rotation alongside established indie acts. The programming on Radio Outlaw Bakersfield features a vibrant, multi-genre mix that blends country, outlaw country, rock, blues, indie rock, and pop. The station maintains round-the-clock automated streaming and regular airplay rotation, highlighting regional roots music, guitar-driven indie rock, classic blues rhythms, and singer-songwriter acoustic tracks. Key playlist staples include music by local and regional acts such as Everyday Outlaw, Ernie Lewis, Larry Mac, Sluka, and James Day. Operating strictly as an internet broadcast entity, Radio Outlaw Bakersfield supports the local live music ecosystem by driving listeners to venue performances and festivals across Central California.
