Promote The Peace Radio

📖 About

Promote The Peace Radio is a dynamic, youth-managed internet radio station based in Sacramento, California. Established as part of the broader Promote the Peace Project—which was founded in 2006—the station was created with a clear social mission: to promote education, foster community positivity, and actively reduce violence across the Greater Sacramento area. By leveraging the power of digital media, the station provides a safe, constructive platform where young people can express themselves, build media literacy skills, and engage in meaningful community dialogue. The station's programming grid is uniquely tailored by and for young people, featuring an inspiring mix of positive uplifting music, spoken word poetry, insightful interviews, and thought-provoking talk programs. Content regularly addresses social awareness, conflict resolution, historical milestones, and personal development stories submitted by youth ages 12 to 25. Notable segments and recurrent broadcasts include youth-led discussions on community safety, educational achievements, and creative showcases highlighting independent local artists and positive message tracks. Operating entirely through digital internet streaming architecture rather than traditional AM or FM terrestrial towers, Promote The Peace Radio reaches listeners globally while staying anchored to its grassroots community roots in Sacramento. Listeners can tune in 24 hours a day via the official website, online streaming portals, and mobile directories, supporting a long-standing initiative dedicated to positive youth empowerment and violence reduction.
