Praise 94.5

📖 About

Praise 94.5 (broadcast via WVGB 1490 AM and its FM translator W233AW at 94.5 MHz) is a non-commercial gospel music radio station licensed to Beaufort, South Carolina. Originally launched in January 1962 under the historic call sign WSIB, the frequency has deep roots in the Lowcountry media market. Following years of diverse community service, ownership transitions, and an urban contemporary format era, the station was acquired in August 2015 by the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church of Dale, South Carolina. Under church ownership, the station was completely revitalized into a dedicated spiritual ministry featuring inspirational programming. The station's daily programming format is centered around uplifting contemporary gospel music, traditional spirituals, church broadcasts, and local ministry outreach. In addition to continuous musical inspiration, Praise 94.5 serves as an important community bulletin board by airing localized church announcements, regional community news, health awareness features, and structured Bible study series such as the 'Vision Series'. It provides a vital spiritual lifeline and fellowship connection for listeners across Beaufort County and neighboring areas of coastal South Carolina. Broadcasting over its combination 1490 AM signal and 94.5 FM translator, the station ensures strong local reception throughout the Beaufort metropolitan area. Furthermore, Praise 94.5 extends its outreach globally via online streaming solutions, enabling former residents, regional believers, and digital listeners worldwide to tune into its messages of faith and gospel music around the clock.
