📖 About

With deep roots tracing back to its early authorization and historical iterations (including long stints as country favorite KKAT, alternative rock outlet 'The End', and classic hip-hop network 'The Vibe'), the signal transitioned to its current high-energy Top 40 format under Cumulus Media. It is widely recognized for playing heavy rotations of today's biggest pop, dance, and crossover hits, highlighted by signature programming blocks designed to keep listeners engaged with continuous music pacing. The station's programming focuses heavily on current chart-toppers, pop culture updates, and dynamic air personality shifts featuring popular on-air hosts. Catering primarily to younger demographics, teens, and active adult listeners throughout Utah, Power 94.9 & 101.9 blends continuous hit music blocks with regional promotions, ticket giveaways, and interactive social media engagement. Its strategic dual-frequency simulcast ensures expansive signal coverage spanning from Ogden down through Salt Lake City and Provo, capturing the heavily populated commuter corridors of northern and central Utah. Operated under the massive broadcast umbrella of Cumulus Media, the station maintains state-of-the-art studios located in South Salt Lake near the major I-15 and I-80 interchange. Alongside its powerful terrestrial signals transmitting from Farnsworth Peak and Lake Mountain, Power 94.9 & 101.9 is globally accessible via official digital streaming portals, mobile apps, and online radio networks, cementing its role as a premier pop music outlet in the Intermountain West.
