📖 About

NewsRadio 830 KHVH (KHVH) is a prominent commercial news and talk radio station licensed to Honolulu, Hawaii, and owned by iHeartMedia. The station originally signed on the air on April 20, 1951, under the historic call letters KIKI before eventually adopting the KHVH call sign—originally derived from Henry J. Kaiser's iconic Kaiser Hawaiian Village Hotel (now the Hilton Hawaiian Village). Over its decades of broadcasting, the station has evolved from its early days as a popular Top 40 outlet into a premier destination for local and national spoken-word content across the Hawaiian Islands. Programming on KHVH centers heavily on current events, political discourse, and localized reporting, serving as an essential voice for the Honolulu metropolitan area. Its weekday lineup features prominent local programming anchored by hosts like Rick Hamada, alongside high-profile nationally syndicated conservative talk programs including The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show and The Sean Hannity Show. Furthermore, the station maintains strong network affiliations with Fox News Radio, Premiere Networks, and local television partners like KHON-TV, while also serving as an affiliate for the Las Vegas Raiders Radio Network. Operating with a power output of 11,000 watts, KHVH covers the islands through its AM frequency and expands its accessibility via digital platforms such as the iHeartRadio app and Oceanic Spectrum digital channel 881. Catering to an engaged audience interested in civic issues, regional news, and political commentary, News Radio 830 KHVH remains a cornerstone of broadcast journalism and talk entertainment in the state of Hawaii.
