Owned and operated by Urban One (formerly Radio One Licenses, LLC), the station stands as one of Atlanta's premier broadcast destinations for adult R&B and classic soul. The primary 107.5 FM signal originally signed on the air on February 6, 1998, as "Majic 107.5" (WAMJ) before undergoing a period as smooth jazz outlet WJZZ-FM. The "Majic" brand and WAMJ call sign triumphantly returned to the 107.5 frequency in February 2009, paired in full simulcast with WUMJ 97.5 FM to ensure seamless high-powered signal coverage across both northern and southern Atlanta suburbs. Programming on Majic 107.5 / 97.5 delivers a polished mix of urban adult contemporary hits, 1980s and 1990s throwback soul, and smooth modern R&B. The station serves as a local flagship home for the nationally syndicated 'Steve Harvey Morning Show', leading into high-profile local broadcast shifts featuring renowned Atlanta radio personalities including Ryan Cameron, Maria Moore, and Jarard J. Its daily grid combines hit-driven music blocks like the 'No Repeat Workday' and 'Throwback Lunch' with weekend specialty shows including gospel programming, classic soul spotlights, and live mixshows hosted by veteran Atlanta DJs. Broadcasting from studios located at 101 Marietta Street NW in downtown Atlanta, Majic 107.5 / 97.5 operates with an effective radiated power of 33,000 watts on 107.5 FM (Facility ID: 31872) alongside full-power repeater WUMJ on 97.5 FM.
