📖 About

Magic 106.1 (KMJZ-FM, previously operating as rock station KXRR 'Rock 106') is a prominent commercial FM radio station broadcasting on 106.1 MHz, licensed to Monroe, Louisiana, and serving the entirety of Northeast Louisiana, including West Monroe, Richwood, and Sterlington. The station originally hit the airwaves on January 28, 1966, under the call sign KREB. Over its long and storied history in the Ark-La-Miss regional radio market, it underwent several notable format transformations—spanning country, gospel (as KNAN), top 40 (as KMYY), and mainstream rock (as KXRR)—before undergoing a complete revitalization under new ownership by Warrior Media LLC.
