📖 About

LINL Radio (Long Island Night Light) is a vibrant independent internet radio station launched in late February 2024 by owner, operator, and musician Lou Megna. Headquartered out of Long Island, New York (with operations tied to Nesconset), the station was created out of a deep passion for showcasing exceptional underground and independent talent. Its curated library features roughly 1,500 songs spanning approximately 600 independent and emerging artists, offering listeners a refreshing alternative to heavily commercialized airwaves. The station's programming format is heavily rooted in rock, punk, metal, country, and blues, delivering a diverse acoustic palette that appeals directly to dedicated rock and alternative music enthusiasts. In addition to continuous music playlists, LINL Radio distinguishes itself through engaging artist interviews, exclusive music reviews, regular podcast series, and periodic special live broadcasts. By partnering directly with independent labels and artists worldwide, the station provides a vital platform for underground creators to gain global exposure. Operating entirely in the digital sphere, LINL Radio streams 24/7 via its official website and dedicated mobile applications available on major platforms. Through the personal curation of Lou Megna—who also performs with the group Native Son—the station fosters a strong sense of community, connecting independent musicians with an appreciative international audience while celebrating the true grit and authenticity of modern independent music.
