KZSM 104.1

📖 About

KZSM 104.1 (call sign: KZSM-LP) is a non-commercial, volunteer-run low-power community radio station licensed to San Marcos, Texas, and operated by the San Marcos Texas Community Radio Association. Established in 2015, the station was born from the vision of local community members who wanted an independent media platform completely free from commercial influence and driven entirely by grassroots passion. Volunteers manually wired and built the station into existence, transforming their dedication to free expression into a 24/7 broadcasting outlet that serves the heart of Hays County. The station's programming is proudly eclectic, featuring a diverse mix of locally produced music shows, talk segments, cultural discussions, and national public-affairs programs such as Democracy Now! Notable local programs include specialty music blocks, interview series, and targeted educational shows like Time 4 Hemp and Revolving Door, which highlight local artists, grassroots activists, and community stories. Aimed at listeners who crave authentic, non-corporate media, KZSM operates as a vital community hub where diverse local voices, independent musicians, and underrepresented perspectives find a welcoming home on the airwaves.
