📖 About

KRDZ (1440 AM, coupled with FM translator 106.9 FM K295CS) is a commercial radio station licensed to Wray, Colorado, and proudly serving Yuma County along with the wider tri-state region. First taking to the airwaves in 1978, the station has established itself as an integral local communications anchor on Colorado's Eastern Plains. Over the decades, it has operated under a few call sign variations—including KRQZ during the 1980s—before returning to its classic KRDZ identity. Today, the station is owned and operated by Media Logic, LLC, maintaining a strong commitment to hometown values and hyper-local service. Programming-wise, KRDZ delivers an engaging blend of classic hits music combined with comprehensive local news, severe weather updates, agricultural reports, and community event coverage. The station features popular syndicated programming from Westwood One alongside hourly national news updates from Fox News. In addition to its music and general news layout, KRDZ serves as a dedicated broadcast partner for regional sports, providing thorough coverage of local high school teams like the Wray Eagles as well as major regional sports networks including the Denver Broncos Radio Network. Broadcasting with 5,000 watts of power during the day, KRDZ reaches listeners across a wide rural expanse, augmented digitally by online streaming platforms and smart speaker integration. Honored frequently by organizations such as the Colorado Broadcasters Association for its dedicated local programming, web presence, and community connection, KRDZ continues to bridge generational music tastes with essential daily updates for the tri-state community.
