KNON Now

📖 About

KNON Now is a dedicated 24/7 online-only digital streaming sister station operated by KNON 89.3 FM, the well-known listener-supported community radio broadcaster based in Dallas, Texas. Developed to expand the reach and programming depth of its parent station, KNON Now features an entirely distinct lineup of volunteer-hosted music and talk shows. It mirrors the rich cultural variety, unique musical curation, and grassroots ethos that has defined the KNON family for decades, serving listeners across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex and worldwide. Programmed with fresh digital content and diverse DJs, KNON Now showcases a wide array of musical genres, underground sounds, soul, funk, and niche community segments that may not fit into the traditional terrestrial broadcast schedule of 89.3 FM. The station operates under the governance of the Agape Broadcasting Foundation, Inc., maintaining a strong commitment to independent, non-commercial public media. Listeners can tune in to specialized DJ sets, artist interviews, and extensive podcast archives directly through digital platforms. As an extension of a station that first took to the airwaves on July 30, 1983, KNON Now represents the modern evolution of community broadcasting, embracing digital accessibility through mobile apps and web streaming. It relies on community engagement, listener support, and underwriting to fulfill its mission of giving voice to underrepresented musical artists and cultural communities throughout Texas and beyond.
