📖 About

KKMP CNMI 1440 AM is a prominent locally owned commercial radio station based in Garapan on the island of Saipan, serving the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI). Broadcast facility operations are managed by Blue Continent Communications Inc. First hitting the airwaves on December 9, 2010, the station was founded to provide a dedicated media outlet celebrating local culture, community interests, and Pacific music for residents across Saipan, Tinian, and Rota. The programming format on KKMP features a blend of Island music, contemporary hits, Top 40, Adult Contemporary, and traditional Chamorro and Carolinian songs. In addition to music, KKMP offers localized news coverage, public announcements, community talk segments, and cultural programming designed to preserve and promote the indigenous heritage and languages of the Northern Mariana Islands. The station plays an essential role in local civic communications and emergency public safety broadcasts. Operating terrestrially on 1440 AM (supplemented by FM translator station K221EF on 92.1 FM in Saipan), KKMP delivers wide coverage across the CNMI chain. In addition to traditional radio broadcasts, KKMP reaches the global Pacific diaspora through online live streaming audio hosted on its web portals and streaming partner platforms.
