KGOT 92.2 Tha' Goat Radio

📖 About

KGOT 92.2 Tha' Goat Radio is an independent, online-only urban-variety station founded and operated by Dr. Pierre U'Shay (DJ U'Shay). Created out of a personal quest to fill a void in terrestrial radio where classic urban music, deep-cut soul, and rare retro tracks were being phased out in favor of repetitive commercial loops, the station serves as a comforting time capsule. It is designed to transport listeners back to simpler, nostalgic times—evoking childhood memories, high school days, family reunions, backyard cookouts, and weekend house parties. The station's rich programming spans a broad spectrum of timeless genres, including classic R&B, 60s-to-80s soul and funk, 70s and 80s classic rock, 80s and 90s pop, hip-hop, reggae, dancehall, gospel, slow jams, southern soul, and zydeco. Notable specialty programming features signature blocks like 'Tha' Morning Light Gospel Show', 'Back-N-Da-Dayz: 101', 'Tha' Mile High Club', 'Grown Folks Cafe'', and the late-night quiet storm slow jam block 'Between The Sheets'. By minimizing DJ chatter and eliminating commercial breaks entirely, KGOT 92.2 ensures an immersive, uninterrupted listening experience. Operating digitally with its roots connected to San Antonio, Texas, KGOT 92.2 Tha' Goat Radio reaches a dedicated international audience through web streaming, online directories, and mobile applications. The network functions as a community-driven sanctuary for music lovers who appreciate hard-to-find classics and vibrant retro formats, offering an authentic celebration of urban music history curated for the kid in every grown listener.
