Jazz24

📖 About

Jazz24 is a premier listener-supported public radio service and multi-platform digital jazz network operated by Pacific Public Media (the parent organization of KNKX). Broadcasting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Jazz24 has grown into one of the world's most prominent digital and terrestrial audio destinations for jazz enthusiasts. Originally emerging to expand the reach of dedicated public jazz programming from the Pacific Northwest, the service delivers a rich, continuous acoustic experience that bridges historical jazz milestones with contemporary innovations. The station's programming format features an extensive and carefully curated rotation of all-time jazz greats—ranging from Miles Davis and John Coltrane to Ella Fitzgerald and Dave Brubeck—alongside vibrant performances from modern and emerging artists. Interwoven into its dynamic music rotation are stylistic touches of blues, smooth soul-jazz, Latin jazz, and funk, providing a deeply textured listening environment. Dedicated to preserving the rich legacy of jazz while championing new talent, Jazz24 serves an expansive global community of listeners seeking commercial-free, high-fidelity musical artistry. Operated under the umbrella of Pacific Public Media, Jazz24 broadcasts terrestrially in the Seattle–Tacoma metropolitan area on KNKX-HD2 (88.5 FM) while reaching millions more worldwide through its robust web stream, mobile apps, and digital smart-speaker partners. Functioning as a non-commercial community service, it relies on listener memberships, public donations, and corporate underwriting to maintain its operations. Headquartered out of studios in Seattle and Tacoma, Washington, Jazz24 remains a vital global cultural beacon dedicated to uniting audiences through the universal language of jazz.
