Guira FM 93.3

📖 About

Guira FM 93.3 is a prominent public-service and peacekeeping radio station established by the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA). Officially launched on September 14, 2014, the station operates under the inspiring motto 'Les Ondes de la Paix' (The Waves of Peace). It was created to support national reconciliation, human rights promotion, security sector reform, and democratic dialogue following periods of civil conflict, acting as a vital bridge for unbiased information across the country. The station broadcasts 24 hours a day, delivering comprehensive news bulletins, current affairs talk shows, civic education programs, and community discussions in both French and Sango—the two official languages of the Central African Republic. Its programming is specifically structured to give a voice to local communities, address peacebuilding initiatives, and provide real-time updates on national events. Notably, Guira FM has grown to achieve near-nationwide coverage, extending its reach far beyond the capital of Bangui to a large majority of the nation's prefectures. Headquartered at the MINUSCA Logistics Base along Rue Yakite in Bangui, Guira FM leverages a powerful terrestrial FM network alongside modern digital streaming platforms to serve its audience. Whether listened to via local radio receivers or online web portals by the diaspora, the station remains a critical pillar of information integrity, social cohesion, and transparent communication throughout the Central African Republic.
