Freekshow Radio

📖 About

Freekshow Radio (operating digitally under the call sign WFRK-DB) is an independent, 24/7 internet radio station dedicated entirely to the heavier, raw edges of rock and metal. Established as an uncompromising platform for fans of heavy audio, the station streams a continuous mix of heavy metal, hard rock, thrash metal, speed metal, and punk around the clock. It prides itself on championing new, unsigned, and independent artists who often struggle to find airtime on traditional, corporate-controlled terrestrial radio networks. The station's rich programming format features regular in-house specialty shows, such as 'Freekshow's Chaos Radio Show', 'Friday Night Freek Out', and 'New Music Monday'. These programs dive deep into extreme subgenres, deep cuts, classic 80s gems, and cutting-edge releases from emerging underground bands. Additionally, Freekshow Radio compiles and publishes a weekly Top 60 chart to highlight listener favorites and track the biggest rising tracks across the global heavy music scene. Broadcasting entirely online via modern streaming infrastructure and directory networks, Freekshow Radio reaches an international community of metalheads and punk rock enthusiasts. Managed independently with a fierce DIY ethos, the station offers a dynamic digital audio hub complete with web streams, interactive chat features, and companion podcast archives on platforms like Mixcloud.
