📖 About

Doc Rock's Metal Shop 101 is a Pittsburgh-based heavy metal and rock radio program dedicated to bringing powerful rock and metal music to listeners around the world. The show has deep roots in the Pittsburgh rock and metal scene, beginning more than twenty years ago as a DJ night at the Rock-A-Bye Café in Pittsburgh's South Hills. What started as a local gathering where bands brought their own music to be played and discovered evolved into Metal Shop 101, led by Doc Rock. Today, the program continues its mission of supporting local, independent, unsigned and emerging rock and metal artists by giving their music airplay and worldwide exposure. Metal Shop 101 features heavy metal, hard rock and other guitar-driven music, including new releases, independent artists, underground bands, interviews and selections from established rock and metal acts.
