📖 About

96.9 KVMV (call sign: KVMV-FM) is a listener-supported, commercial-free, non-profit Christian radio station licensed to McAllen, Texas, and serving the entire Lower Rio Grande Valley region. Having originally signed on the air in 1972, the station has spent decades providing uplifting, family-friendly media and Christ-centered encouragement to listeners across South Texas and northern Mexico. Operated under the ownership of World Radio Network, Inc. (Inspiracom), KVMV has grown into an integral spiritual and community fixture of the Rio Grande Valley. The station features a continuous format blending contemporary Christian music, praise and worship anthems, and insightful Christian teaching and talk programs. Its daily schedule is anchored by engaging local on-air hosts during daytime blocks alongside widely recognized national ministry programs, including Focus on the Family, Insight for Living with Dr. Chuck Swindoll, and Turning Point with Dr. David Jeremiah. Supported entirely by listener donations and community contributions rather than traditional advertising, 96.9 KVMV remains dedicated to its core mission of spreading a message of faith, hope, and love throughout the region.
