📖 About

WTTH (96.1 FM) is a commercial Urban Adult Contemporary radio station licensed to Margate City, New Jersey, and serving the broader Atlantic City metropolitan area and South Jersey coastal region. The station originally went on the air in 1989 under the call sign WFOU. It briefly adopted the call letters WMXL in 1990 before officially transitioning to WTTH in 1991, adopting the long-standing branding 'The Touch' and establishing its signature Urban AC format. Long owned and operated by Equity Communications, the station built a dedicated listener base across Atlantic and Cape May counties. In December 2023, iHeartMedia completed its acquisition of WTTH along with three sister stations in the market, integrating WTTH into the iHeartRadio platform network. WTTH's programming schedule is designed to serve Urban AC music lovers with a curated mix of contemporary R&B hits and classic old-school soul tracks. Weekday mornings center around the nationally syndicated 'The Steve Harvey Morning Show', offering humor, commentary, and music. During the workday and weekends, the station plays an automated rotation of smooth urban hits, R&B anthems, and retro throwbacks. On weeknights, WTTH broadcasts 'The Sweat Hotel' hosted by Keith Sweat, delivering late-night slow jams and romantic R&B tracks to its regional audience. Operating with a Class A license on 96.1 MHz, WTTH transmits with an effective radiated power (ERP) of 3,600 watts from a tower located in the casino district of Atlantic City. The station's administrative offices and broadcast studios are located in the Bayport One complex in West Atlantic City alongside sister stations WAYV, WZBZ, and WZXL. Through terrestrial broadcasts, online streaming via the iHeartRadio network, and mobile apps, 96.1 WTTH maintains a primary position in South Jersey's radio landscape.
