📖 About

3WZ (WZWW 93.7 FM) is a commercial hot adult contemporary radio station licensed to Boalsburg, Pennsylvania, and serving the greater State College and Central Pennsylvania region. Originally signing on the air on April 13, 1988, as WBUS (known as '93.7 The Bus'), the station underwent several transitions in ownership and call letters over the decades—including periods as WVCV and WMAJ—before finding its current identity. Following its acquisition by Seven Mountains Media, the station executed a notable frequency and branding migration in January 2023, inheriting the heritage '3WZ' branding and hot adult contemporary format from its former sister frequency at 95.3 FM. The station's programming is tailored specifically to contemporary adult listeners, families, local professionals, and students throughout the Centre Region. 3WZ features an upbeat mix of current chart-topping pop hits and familiar adult contemporary favorites. In addition to its continuous music programming, the station keeps listeners connected with localized community information, regional news updates, weather reports, and regional sports coverage, making it a daily media staple across the local Pennsylvania landscape. Operating from regional broadcast facilities under Seven Mountains Media, WZWW broadcasts with an effective radiated power (ERP) designed to thoroughly cover the rugged topography of the Ridge and Valley province surrounding State College. Alongside traditional FM reception, 3WZ maintains a robust digital footprint, offering live streaming capabilities through its official website and customized mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms, ensuring accessibility for listeners both locally and online.
